Why Volunteer
Volunteering offers a chance to be directly involved in Houston’s premier African American arts festival. Volunteers gain access to networking opportunities, build event management skills, and contribute to a major cultural event. Volunteers receive an official festival T-shirt, lanyard, and refreshments during their shifts.
All-Company
Meet & Greet*
*for current Festival Volunteers only*
The Meet & Greet is the official gathering where all volunteers, staff, and festival organizers come together before the event. This is the opportunity to meet the entire team, connect with fellow volunteers, and receive full details about festival roles and responsibilities. This event provides food, fun, and ensures everyone is aligned and prepared for a smooth, well-organized festival. Attendance is strongly encouraged so that all volunteers feel confident in their roles before the festival begins.
